Contact Admin. We see one thing, but reality can be so far from what we see. Things are not always what they appear to be, and I think social media makes it so easy for us to forget that. It is such a double edge sword. On one end, it is great to stay connected with people, share moments and experiences, and to build a platform for something positive. On the other end, it also consumes people, creates insecurities and false expectations that people feel the need to live up to.
It is simply composed of platforms where people have a choice as to what they want to upload and how they want to be perceived. At the end of the day I think that what is most important for us to remember is that social media allows you to see what people want you to see, but not everything there is to see. It is so easy for us to be pressured by social media. We create false expectations of life because we are being guided by a false reality.
I am not saying that what we see on social media is not true, I am just reminding you that people only post what they want to post and show. It is normal to get those thoughts in our head, it happens t social media post o all of us, but we can instead shift those thoughts and use them as motivation.
The list goes on about how we can shift our perception of the posts we see; the choice is really up to us. Remember that social media is what we want to make of it. It is a filtered reality that if we allow to consume us, will give us false expectations of life.
We see what people want us to see, and it is entirely up to us how we perceive that. It is also one of our biggest platforms. It allows us to connect with and reach people around the world in an instant, it enables us to share our experiences, and it allows us to build ourselves and our own personal brand in whatever way we want to do so.
